The Gathering Place of Aurora was founded in 2001 through prophetic revelation and prayer, led by Pastors John and Victoria Irving. From the beginning, the church was established as a dwelling place for God’s presence, rooted in a strong biblical foundation and led by the Holy Spirit.
After launching in temporary spaces across Aurora, the church purchased its first permanent home in 2005 at 210 Edward Street—a former bowling alley transformed through faith, sacrifice, and vision into a place of worship, ministry, and community. During these years, the church grew in outreach, missions, discipleship, and powerful encounters with God.
In 2010, a significant move of God emerged through weekly Glory Nights, later known as the Canadian Great Lakes Outpouring, drawing people from across Ontario and beyond for extended worship and prophetic ministry.
Following years of renovation and preparation, the church entered a new season in July 2022 with the opening of its expanded main sanctuary. Today, The Gathering Place continues to equip and release believers, advancing the Kingdom of God locally and globally.
Faithful then. Faithful now. And the story continues.

The Gathering Place is a Spirit-led community committed to the presence of God, the truth of His Word, and the work of the Holy Spirit. We exist to provide a place where people can encounter God, grow in faith, and walk in their God-given purpose.
We are more than a congregation — we are a family. We value authentic relationships, spiritual growth, and walking together in love, humility, and obedience to God’s calling.

A Spirit-Led Community Growing Together in Christ
Pastor John and Victoria Irving serve as the Lead Pastors of The Gathering Place, carrying a shared vision to see lives transformed by the power and love of Jesus Christ. Together, they lead with humility, prayer, and a deep commitment to God’s presence and His people
They are devoted to shepherding the church, teaching biblical truth, and equipping believers to grow in faith and walk confidently in their God-given calling.
Our Pastors
Pastor John Irving
Lead PastorPastor John Irving is the senior pastor of The Gathering Place of Aurora. With over 35 years of ministry experience, he ministers through the five-fold gifts with a deep passion for souls, equipping the church through teaching, prophetic ministry, and compassionate pastoral care.
John is a graduate of Masters Bible College and holds a Master’s Degree in Theology from Tyndale University. He has served children, youth, and young adults in churches and community outreach, and has traveled on mission both in Canada and internationally.
Pastor Victoria Irving
PastorPastor Victoria Irving was born in Guyana, South America. As a young child, she experienced a miraculous healing from severe asthma, which led her family to faith in Jesus. She later built a successful career as a real estate agent in Toronto and owned a restaurant in the U.S.
Following a powerful encounter with the Lord, Victoria returned to Canada and has since spent over 20 years serving as an ordained minister with Eagle Worldwide Ministries. She co-pastors The Gathering Place alongside her husband, John. Victoria moves strongly in the apostolic and prophetic gifts, with a particular grace for prophetic intercession. She ministers boldly in the Holy Spirit and carries a deep calling to reach, teach, and release believers into their God-given purpose.
